Backpacks and Blessing Bags
Chuck's Way Street Outreach puts together backpacks and blessing bags to hand out to those experiencing homelessness. Some volunteers will visit homeless encampments in small groups of 2-3, or on the streets to hand out the packs and bags. Others will keep a few in their vehicles and pass them to those asking for money/help on street corners or at stoplights.
While these packs and bags will not solve homelessness, they are a way to show support and humanity towards those in need of assistance and to provide them with essential supplies to help them as they live on the streets.

What's Inside?
Both the backpack and the blessing bag contain:
The backpacks, being larger, may also have:
Other items may be includes as well based on what we have.
- 1 pair of gloves and a hat
- 1-2 pairs of socks
- an emergency blanket
- travel sized first aid kit
- small bottle of aspirin
- dental hygiene kit
- hand/body wipes
- lip balm
- snacks (pretzels, fruit bars, energy bars)
- 1-2 bottles of water
- 1-2 small sports drinks
- pen and notebook
The backpacks, being larger, may also have:
- reusable water bottle
- 1 toilet paper roll
- small hand/face towel
Other items may be includes as well based on what we have.
